Rapid Strep Throat Testing
Strep throat can be extremely painful. If you’re experiencing symptoms, we can perform a rapid test to diagnose the bacteria causing the infection. Rapid tests take approximately five minutes and you can visit us anytime at Fireside Pharmacy to take one. We can also do a strep throat culture test if you have a sore throat but are unsure if it’s strep, or have had a recent negative rapid test. Your doctor will order the culture, and after an evaluation in our lab (one to three days) we’ll provide the results. If strep is present, we can prescribe effective medications to treat the infection.
Rapid Onsite UTI testing
Testing for a urinary tract infection is easy and can be done in the comfort of your own home. Simply order your test, pick it up at our pharmacy at Fireside Pharmacy, and talk to your pharmacist about how to collect your urine sample. Depending on the testing option, results will be available immediately or within one to three days. After analyzing the results, your pharmacist or doctor can prescribe the best medication to threat the infection.
Prescribing Pharmacist
Our training and extensive knowledge and skills in medication therapy means we can provide prescriptions right here at the pharmacy. In certain situations this means you can avoid the wait for a doctor’s appointment or the line-up at a walk-in clinic. You’ll save time when it comes to both the delivery of your medication and recovery from your ailment.
Compounding Medications
We can create a customized medication form to meet your unique needs when commercially available drugs aren’t sufficient for your situation. Our specially-trained pharmacists and state-of-the-art equipment can provide you with compounded medication right here in Cochrane. Vaccinations
Your pharmacist can administer flu shots, COVID-19 vaccines, and other immunizations right here at our Fireside Pharmacy location. There’s no waiting list, and the process is simple and fast.
Travel Immunizations & Advice
Depending on your destination, you may require a pre-departure immunization. We offer pre-travel consultation and immunizations right here at our pharmacy. There’s no waiting list, and your pharmacist can also provide useful information ahead of your trip.
